A signed studio turned wood vessel with lid, a piece of careful, skilled woodturning that shows real command of the lathe and a good eye for proportion.

The form is a lidded pedestal vessel: a wide, rounded body sitting on a substantial turned foot, with a flat lid topped by a small finial. What makes it visually interesting is the wood itself, this is segmented turning, where pieces of different wood species are assembled before turning, creating the radiating bands of contrasting color you can see running through the body and lid. The result is a pattern that's organic and structural at the same time, somewhere between a natural wood grain and an intentional geometric composition.

There is a signature on the base, we haven't been able to identify the maker. The finish is a warm, hand-applied oil or lacquer that brings out the different tones of the woods: deep walnut, amber maple, reddish cherry.

It works as a decorative object on a shelf, a sideboard, or a coffee table. The lid is functional and fits well.

We’ve restored it, sanding the walnut back and refinishing it, and the grain is rich and even. The top is made in two sections that meet at a center seam, and it does not extend.

A three-seat sofa in its original 1970s floral upholstery. The print runs in orange, rust, cream, gold and olive over a trellis pattern. The back is a tall channel-tufted panel with softly flared wings, and the arms curve outward. The seat cushions are new, in a deep brown fabric with piping, which grounds all the pattern.

The sofa stands on dark tapered wood legs.

A rounded glass vase with a matte, satin finish in soft blue with a gray-green cast. It has broad shoulders, a gently tapering base and a flared neck with a small lip. The surface is non-reflective. There are scuffs and light scratches on the body and a thin line near the neck, all visible in the photos.

A hand-blown glass vase in a wide fan or flared shape. The glass is clear with a faint aqua tint and has tiny seed bubbles throughout, which are typical of hand-blown glass. The bowl narrows to a short round knop and a flared circular foot, and the top edge is rolled. It stands steadily on the foot.

A frosted pale aqua vase in an amphora-like shape, with a flared lip and a body that tapers toward the base. Two hand-applied horizontal bands wrap the body, and a row of applied round discs sits between them. The surface is matte and textured in the Scavo manner.
